Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village

Walnut Grove was a Scott County cross-roads settlement and stage coach stop of the 1860s. The Village includes 18 historic buildings, some relocated from rural Scott County. Pioneer Village has accessible and modern restroom facilities. Great for school groups.

Join the Friends of the Wapsi Center and Staff for a celebration of Earth Day.  Our workday will focus on habitat clean-up and sprucing up the facilities for upcoming events. There will be fun for all ages and abilities, please bring appropriate clothing, work gloves and a water bottle.

Afterwards, stick around for a Volunteer Round-Up & Orientation with the Friends of the Wapsi Center.

Man and woman are a 2 person team and play 9 holes with an 8" cup! in an alternate shot format and scored using a modified stable ford scoring system. The event is flighted by the number of teams signed up each night. Men play from the white tees and women play from the red tees. Cost (subject to change) is $55.00 per couple and includes green fee, cart fee, prizes and a cookout after play. This is intended to be a fun night and beginners are encouraged to participate.

Scott County Park Pool is proud to be an American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Provider. The Learn-to-Swim program is unique compared to other learn to swim programs. Classes are offered for children ages 3 years old and up. Students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in the one level before then advancing to the next.

Sessions are offered from June-July for Group Lessons, Private Lessons, Lifeguarding Certification and a WSI Instructor Class. Register online now or in person starting April 16th at the Scott County Park Entry Station.
