Walnut Grove was a Scott County cross-roads settlement and stage coach stop of the 1860s. The Village includes 18 historic buildings, some relocated from rural Scott County. Pioneer Village has accessible and modern restroom facilities. Great for school groups.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to join Director Dave Murcia for a Birds of Prey program at Park Terrace Campground at West Lake Park. This presentation will include raptor ecology, biology, habitats, and live birds of prey including a falcon and owls.
Conservation Department (Seasonal) $8.00 to $11.00 per hour
Man and woman are a 2 person team and play 9 holes in an alternate shot format and scored using a modified stable ford scoring system. The event is flighted by the number of teams signed up each night. Men play from the white tees and women play from the red tees. Cost (subject to change) is $55.00 per couple and includes green fee, cart fee, prizes and a cookout after play. This is intended to be a fun night and beginners are encouraged to participate.
Join Director/Naturalist Dave Murcia for an adventure with canoes and kayaks. Whether you are a beginner or regular paddler, come out to learn basics. Program includes all equipment use, covers safety, techniques, and taking a tour of Pride Lake. You may bring your own vessel/PFD, though it must comply with IADNR regulations. Reminder - this program is determined by weather and site conditions, weight capacity loads are 250-300 lbs./solo and 425-475 lbs./ tandem. Dress appropriately and bring water
