Join Seasonal Naturalist Becky Horton and learn how to use a bow and arrow in this informative and fun hands-on class. You’ll learn safety and proper archery techniques according to National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) guidelines. Children must be in 4th grade and above to participate. In this kid-friendly class that blends nature and art, learn all there is to know about Iowa’s birds of prey and meet LIVE raptor ambassadors. Then, enjoy some lemonade while we paint a themed picture on canvas in a guided, step-by-step experience. $5/canvas. Call to pre-register.

The Scott County Conservation Board has approved a special deer hunt for archery hunters only from October 14, 2017 through January 10, 2018 at Scott County Park. This hunt is only for residents of Iowa.   Applications are now available and need to be returned no later than Tuesday, August 1st by 4:30pm.
