Join Wapsi naturalist, Becky Horton, and learn about a global Citizen Science Project called the Great Backyard Bird Count. This annual event is hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society and occurs from February 16th – 19th, 2018. During this program, you will learn about this research project and how you can conduct your own backyard bird count at home on February 18th and 19th. You will also make take home bird feeders to attract birds to your own backyard. Bird watchers of all ages can participate in this project to create a real-time snapshot of where birds are located.
