Members of the Scott County Conservation Board and Board of Supervisors
were on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open the campground
and to tour the area improvements: some of which include remodeled
restrooms, new electrical and water hookups, new hard surfaced roadways
and camping pads, and new playground equipment. These improvements,
which total more than $400,000, have been paid for with funds from
the Board of Supervisors, the Conservation Board's Capital Improvements,
and reimbursements from FEMA, as a result of the flooding.
