The Scott County Attorney's Office serves in civil matters as legal counsel for the Scott County Board of Supervisors and all county officers and agencies in civil matters. It also serves in criminal matters as chief prosecutor in criminal prosecutions for the State of Iowa in Scott County.

The Scott County Attorneys Office has a staff of 15 assistant county attorneys and 14 support personnel. The Office processes over 4,000 indictable criminal cases per year and averages six contacts with county agencies per week.
