Planning & Development

Planning and Development is responsible for the current and future land uses in all unincorporated areas of Scott County.

The County, through the adoption of a comprehensive development plan and enforcement of the county's zoning, building code, subdivision and floodplain development ordinances, is able to regulate all non-ag land uses in the unincorporated areas.

Through an intergovernmental 28E agreement the department also issues building permits for the Cities of Dixon, Donahue, LeClaire, McCausland, Panorama Park, and Riverdale.

With no agenda items to discuss, the Scott County Zoning Board of Adjustment will not meet on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. pending the receipt of any future applications. All Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings are held in the County Board Room, located on the first floor of the County Administrative Center (600 W. Fourth Street, Davenport, IA 52801), unless otherwise noted.
