Sheriff's Office

Features

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office would like to notify the public of a telephone scam that is currently happening across our area. Citizens are receiving telephone calls from a person claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office stating that a Judge had signed a warrant for them to be arrested for not showing up for Jury Duty. They will ask the victim to follow instructions to avoid being arrested which includes the victim providing payment. THIS IS NOT THE PROCESS for Jury Duty or of the Sheriff’s Office.
