BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2018-19 NORTH SCOTT DISTRICT BATTLE 1ST PLACE TEAM, FROM VIRGIL GRISSOM!

WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BOOKS?

The Battle of the Books is an organized competition where teams compete using their knowledge of a prescribed set of books. The battle creates excitement over books, rewards a love of reading in a non-physical sport, and has become a rite of passage for many students.

WHAT BOOKS DO PARTICIPANTS READ?

Participants will read the Iowa Children’s Choice Award books for the current year. Copies of each book are available for checkout at all branches of the Scott County Library
