Scott County Community Memory Project

This is the logo for the Scott County Community Memory Project with the words Preserving and Collecting Scott County History

The Scott County Library System has received a 2 year federal grant to digitize Scott County history. The grant has multiple aspects. One is that individuals can bring family photos, diaries, letters, home movies and more to scheduled scanning days or special appointments. This is a great way to share old photos with the whole family and to save them for future generations. The second phase is a small number of oral history interviews will be conducted with a focus on life and changes in the rural areas and small towns of Scott County. Thirdly, the Scott County Library System has created a digital collection to provide public access to important local history.
