PSCW October 2019 Evening Forum

This is Amy Bouska.

The October 2019 forum speaker will be Amy Bouska, Urban Conservationist with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship’s (IDALS) Urban Conservation Program.

Amy has been with IDALS for 23 years, the past 11 years working with the Urban Conservation Program. Amy works throughout Eastern Iowa assisting municipalities, homeowners, private industry, and non-profit organizations with urban runoff and water quality issues.

Her presentation will share examples of how homeowners, municipalities, and businesses can incorporate urban practices on their specific properties. Rain gardens, soil quality restoration, native landscaping, permeable pavement, and rainwater harvesting will be discussed.
