Scott County Economic Development Summit

Featuring Luncheon Keynote Presentation by Debi Durham, Director, Iowa Economic Development Authority

Presented by the Scott County Board of Supervisors In partnership with Bi-State Regional Commission and Quad Cities First

Thursday, February 28, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Waterfront Conference Center, Bettendorf, Iowa

A Scott County Economic Development Summit meeting and workshops are scheduled for Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at the Waterfront Convention Center.  The program includes two tracks, running concurrently with two panel discussions in each track.  One track is on Economic Development models on both Value–Added Agriculture and the Local Craft Beverage Industry.  Panelists for this track will include local livestock and crop producers and local craft brewery, winery and distillery operators.  The second tract is on funding opportunities for economic development projects and workforce development and expansion.  Panelists for this track will include experts on various public sector funding sources and public education and private sector business representatives that will speak on workforce issues.

A luncheon is scheduled with a Keynote presentation on Economic Development Opportunities in Iowa from Debi Durham, the Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority.

Registration for the entire event is $45 with a luncheon only option for $25.  Registration is available online at the Quad Cities Chamber website “events” page.  There is also an afternoon field trip option to the fist 40 registrants that will tour both Cinnamon Ridge Farms near Donahue, Iowa and the Mississippi River Distillery in LeClaire, Iowa.
