Custodian Vocation Program

Custodian Vocation Program

Inmate housekeeping workers assigned to housekeeping duties within the facility can request to participate in this program. Inmates selected receive instruction on general and intermediate custodial care. Instruction combines hands-on, classroom and computer training and includes instruction in basic custodial/customer safety, restroom care, hard surface floor care, carpet care and product control. This program utilizes mostly environmental safe green cleaning products currently used by the Jail Custodial Officers. Inmates can receive a certificate of completion. The certificate is an employment incentive for inmates upon their release.
