LeClaire House Fire

***NEWS RELEASE***

On March 24, 2016 at approximately 0220 hrs, the LeClaire Fire Department, the Princeton Fire Department, The McCausland Fire Department, the Eldridge Fire Department, the Riverdale Fire Department, and the Bettendorf Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 20090 257th Ave.

The first arriving Deputy observed active fire coming from the roof area of the residence.  After the fire was under control the LeClaire Fire Department requested fire investigators from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office to respond to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

Upon arrival, the investigator was able to determine the residence did have all utilities, was not occupied, and was used as storage per the owner of the residence.

The residence is a complete loss and it was determined the owner did not have insurance on the residence.

The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and it is still under investigation at this time.
