What is it? How do I get it?

Bacterias - infection in tube of penis - sexually transmitted

Symptoms:

  • Discharge from penis
  • itching or burning
  • Can come and go

What happens if not treated?

  • Sterility

How can I protect myself?

  • Know symptoms - LOOK for symptoms
  • DON'T have sex if you have symptoms
  • Get tested if you have symptoms
  • Use a condom - EVERY TIME YOU HAVE SEX

What to do:

  • Take all medicine as directed
  • Tell your partners if you have NGU
  • Don't have sex until you call for your results and partners are treated

  • STDs may be passed from person to person regardless of the presence of symptoms.
  • STDs may be passed through all forms of sexual contact (oral, anal, vaginal).
  • STDs if untreated may lead to more severe problems.
  • Alcohol and drugs decrease your ability to make good decisions regarding your sexual behavior.
