STD Clinic Closed Tuesday, June 26th

There will be no STD clinic on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.  Thank you for your understanding!

A statewide Narcan Access Day is scheduled for June 29, 2018.  The event will provide a number of free kits of narcan to help make the prescription medication more avialable to help temporarily reverse an opoid overdose.  

Scott County is accepting online applications for the following position: 

Health Department (Full-time) $52,062.00 per year plus benefits.

Application Deadline: Monday, July 2, 2018, 4:30pm Central Time. New (8 days remain)

RE: Summer Food Safety

As the warm weather months are filled with family outings, vacations, and cookouts, the Scott County Health Department would like to remind everyone to follow some simple but important food safety practices to avoid illness. 

To protect yourself, your family, and friends from foodborne illness, safe food handling when eating outdoors is key.  “Bacteria can begin to grow quickly in the warm weather, so it’s important to prepare, transport, and serve food safely,” says Eric Bradley, Environmental Health Coordinator at the Scott County Health Department.
