RE:  State Assistance Available for Residents of Scott County Impacted by Recent Storms and Flash Flooding

The State of Iowa has announced that individuals in Scott County impacted by the severe weather (heavy rains, hail, wind damage and flash flooding) beginning May 17, 2019 and ongoing may be eligible for assistance from the State of Iowa through the Iowa Assistance Grant Program and Disaster the Disaster Case Management Program.  Individuals should call Community Action of Eastern Iowa at 563.324.3236 or visit www.caeiowa.org for more information regarding Disaster Case Management.  Information about the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program is available by calling 866.434.4692 or on the Iowa Department of Human Services website at https://dhs.iowa.gov/disaster-assistance-programs?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery.

Individuals impacted by severe storms and Mississippi River flooding that occurred between March 12 and May 16, 2019 are not eligible for State Assistance because Federal Disaster Assistance is available through FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration.  Information and registration for this assistance is available at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ or by calling 800-624-3362.
