The August 2019 Forum speaker will be Al Frohlich, Project Manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District Regulatory Branch.

Mr. Frohlich has been with the Corps for 21 years and the past 14 in the Regulatory Program. He has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in Environmental Education/Interpretation and is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana.

In his role with the Corps, Al issues permits under Sections 404 of the Clean Water Act for projects that impact wetlands and Waters of the U.S..

In addition to writing permits, he investigates unauthorized wetland fills, completes compliance inspections, assists land...

Man and woman are a 2 person team and play 9 holes in an alternate shot format and scored using a modified stable ford scoring system. The event is flighted by the number of teams signed up each night. Men play from the white tees and women play from the red tees. Cost (subject to change) is $55.00 per couple and includes green fee, cart fee, prizes and a cookout after play. This is intended to be a fun night and beginners are encouraged to participate.

Connecting with Nature and disconnecting with electronics can enhance your wellbeing and relax your mind and body, with some meditation & yoga. This program will focus on using your senses to connect with Nature and help you feel rejuvenated! The program will include a hike that will teach us to open our minds to nature. Ages 15 and up.   • Watershed protection from March to November 2019 involves 5 ponds and one bio-swale
  • Liberalized Fishing Regulations 1 April – 15 July 2019
  • Water drawdown starts July 2019
  • Major construction in late 2019 involves dredging, shoreline stabilization, constructing 4 ponds, and fish habitat
  • Game fish will be restocked
