Scott County Jail Expansion and Renovation Project
November 2, 2004 General Election: Scott County voters approved CJAAC's jail facilities solution. 58% voter support allowed the project to begin in a timely fashion.
The Scott County Public Safety Authority approved architectural and transition assistance contracts with the local architectural firm of Larrison and Associates and the jail consulting firm of Voorhis Associates. At the conclusion of Phase 1, the Sheriff’s Office moved the jail operation to the new buildings, making way for the renovation of the existing building during Phase 2.
The entire project was completed by the fall of 2008.
