Scott County Bailiffs
The main campus of Scott County is located in Downtown Davenport and is comprised of the Scott County Administration Center and the Scott County Courthouse.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office provides Bailiff’s to the Scott County Courthouse and Scott County Administration facilities who ensure there security.
There is a single public entrance for the Courthouse located off of 4th Street. The Bailiff’s screen all public visitors similar to that of airport screening. Visitors must pass through a metal detector and belongings screened through an X-Ray type machine.
Items prohibited inside the Courthouse include:
- Weapons
- Firearms
- Knifes
- Pepper Spray
- Sharp Objects
- Cell Phones
- Cell Phones may be brought in for court proceedings with approval.
- Recording Devices
- Computers
There are two public entrances at the Administration Center, but no screening process is involved.
