Oversize/Overweight Permits
Permits are required on Scott County secondary roads if:
- Over 80,000
- Over 11’ wide
- Over 14’ high
- Overall length over 120’
Trip permits for travel within Scott County are issued by the Scott County Engineer’s Office. The permit fee is set by the IDOT based on the size restrictions of the permits. The fees are as follows:
- Single Permit - $10.00 / Roundtrip $20.00
- Annual Permit - $25.00 – Restrictions of size and weight. (Over 80,000 lbs does not qualify – must purchase Annual Oversize/Overweight Permit).
- Annual Oversize/Overweight Permit - $300.00 – Restrictions of size and weight. (Over 156,000 lbs does not qualify – must purchase Single Trip Permit).
