Scott County Adopt-A-Road Program

Litter. It's Beneath You.The Scott County Adopt-A-Road Program is funded by the Scott County Board of Supervisors in cooperation with the Scott Area Solid Waste Management Commission. It is a bi-annual event, with the spring cleanup scheduled during the month of May and the fall cleanup scheduled during the month of October.

Since the onset off the program in 1994, the size of the cleanup force has nearly tripled growing from eight groups cleaning approximately 16 miles of prime Scott County roadways to 22 groups cleaning approximately 46 miles of roadway.

Application Process:

Applications to participate in the program may be obtained by calling Adopt-A-Road Coordinator at (563) 328-4170 or view and print the form below. Accepted sponsors are responsible for the cleanup of both sides of a two-mile stretch of road for a minimum of two years. All groups receive recognition for their efforts by having a sign posted at either end of their adopted road marked with their groups name.
