Lead paint doesn't have to be chipping this bad to be unhealthy.

Older homes can be sources of dangerous lead paint.
What types of services are offered through the Scott County
Health Department Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control
Program?
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Program:
- Provides medical and environmental case management for children
ages six and under who have been identified with lead poisoning
- Conduct follow-up inspections of the children's homes
- Regulate the removal of lead from the home
When do the Screening Clinics for Lead take place?
Walk-in clinics are:
Wednesdays: 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00
p.m.
Fridays: 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Other times are available by making an appointment.

Is there a fee for the service/program?
The lead poisoning program screening is free for children
at high risk, up to six years old.
