What types of services are offered through the Scott County Health Department Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Program?

The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Program:

  • Provides medical and environmental case management for children ages six and under who have been identified with lead poisoning
  • Conduct follow-up inspections of the children's homes
  • Regulate the removal of lead from the home

When do the Screening Clinics for Lead take place?

Walk-in clinics are:

Wednesdays: 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. 
Fridays: 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Other times are available by making an appointment.

Lead Screening

Is there a fee for the service/program?

The lead poisoning program screening is free for children at high risk, up to six years old.
