The Scott County Courthouse was built in 1955. It is the third courthouse building to sit on the current site. The building is approximately 80,000 square feet on four floors. It houses both county offices and state court functions and is the headquarters for the Seventh Judicial District in Iowa.
The Board of Supervisors holds their meetings in this facility and the county provides administration services from this facility as well. All county elected office holders have offices in this facility including the County Attorney, County Auditor, Scott County Board of Supervisors (5 members), County Sheriff, County Recorder and County Treasurer.
