Iowa Pipeline Association (IPA) will be hosting the annual Emergency Responder Pipeline Awareness Program. This annual meeting is funded by local distribution and transmission pipeline companies throughout the state of Iowa.

The presenters this year are Michael Hartman, Assistant Chief of Muscatine Fire Department and John Conyn, Fire Chief of Webster City Fire Department.

By attending this meeting, you will:

  • Receive a pipeline safety presentation by an emergency responder
  • Meet your local pipeline operator representatives
  • Receive local emergency contact information from your pipeline operators
  • Receive a free meal
  • Receive presentation materials for your department
  • Receive training credits
    • 2 CEU’s available for Law Enforcement
    • 2 training hours available for fire service personnel as part of the Iowa Minimum Training Standard
    • 2 training hours available for 911 personnel

The purpose of this program is to discuss distribution and transmission pipeline safety and how to respond to a pipeline emergency in your area. For this program to be effective, your attendance and participation is essential. Everyone from your organization is invited.
