Walnut Grove Pioneer Village : Antique Farm Machinery Building
The original structure was built with a generous donation from Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Dammann. The Dammann's have also donated many of the items on display. In 1989, they donated funds to expand the building to its present size. And again, in the fall of 1999, Melvin and Dorothy Dammann donated additional funds for a concrete floor. Park crews also installed board siding on the inside plus new lighting. This will allow for a better and more professional way of displaying items thanks to the generosity of the Dammann's.
The intent of the display is to depict early farming methods and to preserve local farming heritage. Many of the items were used by Mr. Dammann's father, Emil L.
