Join Naturalist Mike Granger for a lesson on our local frog and toad species. Visitors will learn how to identify the various calls associated with each species and then go on a night time frog catching adventure! Please bring a flashlight and waterproof footwear. Call to pre-register.

Registration begins April 16th and you can register in person at the Scott County Park Entry Station from 8am - 9pm daily.  Registration is also available by calling (563) 328-3282 ext. 1 with use of Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  Early bird fee (until 5/15) is $35 per session/per student.  After 5/15 fee is $40 per session/per student.  All fees are due at the time of registration.

Multiple one-week sessions, from June to August, Monday through Friday for children age 6-12 at Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village.

EDIWILD (Educators in the Wild) is a 2-day educators’ workshop to facilitate the incorporation of environmental education and sustainability into the school curriculum.  The workshop will emphasize environmental stewardship and this year’s theme is “W.A.T.E.R.- Working with Aquatic Technology and Environmental  Resources". The workshop will bridge the gap between our most critical natural resource, water, and how human behaviors effect water quality. Using technology and conservation practices, educators will gain awareness and  education to encourage and facilitate lifestyle changes resulting in stewardship.
