Veterans Relief

The Veterans Relief program, funded by Scott County, provides assistance to wartime veterans with emergency basic needs.

Basic needs include:

• Shelter
• Food
• Utilities
• Medical
• Burial
• Special Needs

To be eligible for assistance you must:

1. Be a wartime veteran with an honorable discharge.
2. Be an adult resident of Scott County.
3. Meet certain income guidelines.
4. Apply for any other benefits available.
5. Register for work (unless disabled) and participate in the Work Readiness Program.
6. Have emergency basic needs that cannot be met by other means.
