Remembering Karen L. Fitzsimmons
Scott County received word of the untimely death of County Auditor Karen L. Fitzsimmons the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
From Jim Hancock, Chairman of the Scott County Board of Supervisors: “On behalf of the Board of Supervisors and County elected-officeholders and all Scott County employees, I wish to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Karen’s family and friends. They are all in our thoughts and prayers. The County has lost a longtime County official and friend. Karen was serving in her 32nd year as Scott County Auditor and her efficiencies and ethics in running elections for the citizens of Scott County were unsurpassed and admired state-wide.”
Karen’s dedicated employees in the Scott County Auditor’s Office will continue to provide excellent services to the citizens of the County during the time the Auditor’s position remains vacant.
